SPC #5 – Bread, Buns & Breakfasts by Lola Workman

Chosen recipe: French Toast

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 slices bread (we had no stale bread so I made some quick no-yeast buns, hence the strange shape of bread!)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Procedure:

  1. Whisk egg and milk with sugar, vanilla and cinnamon.
  2. Dip bread into egg mixture before frying on both sides in buttered pan until golden.
  3. Serve with more butter.

The verdict: This was YUM! Definitely doing it again.
