Why bacon?
The most obvious answer is “why not”, which should satisfy every thinking person.
It should be said that bacon does deserve greater elaboration. It is a very sensual food, the smell of cooking bacon evokes pleasure in the furthest corners of the soul. Cooking in bacon grease makes even the blandest of the bland palatable.
And it tastes good.

Does it not speak volumes to your heart and soul?
Without the bacon, it is merely eggs on toast. Add bacon, and it becomes bacon and eggs.
Look at the bacon, some is crispy, some tender, some lean and all full of flavour.
